On 31 October 2015 (Sunday), members of Hyoho Taish ryu Dojo Yatsushiro Ryu-sen-kan demonstrated their skills at an event of Nishiki-machi, Kumamoto Japan.
Nishiki-machi is a birth place of Taisha ryu and the demonstration was held as a part of “the 38th Nishiki-machi town festival”.
Various other events were held at the festival, namely Kendo competition, Kyudo (Japanese traditional archery) competition, kids Sumo competition, kids Judo completion, a concert of a brass band club of a local junior high school.
A display booth for Taisha ryu was also provided at the event site, and their history and background, including biography of its founder, Marume Kurdo-za (丸目蔵人佐 – see the photo) were introduced to local people.
